Founding the company in 2008 after selling advertising space on her broken leg via YouTube (yes, you read correctly!), Sam acts as both Director of Social Media and ‘Public Face’ for the brand. Coming from playing rugby for England, Sam’s true passion has been around healthy active lifestyle & how nutrition plays a strong role in enabling the body & mind to perform at its best! The agency has attracted my lifestyle & health/nutrition brands, due to this passion of hers. Her wealth of digital knowledge sees Sam invited to speak at countless digital/social media marketing events and, if you’re a regular watcher of Network 10’s ‘The Project’, you might see Sam providing a comment or two as the resident social media expert. As well as being a devoted mother to two boys, Sam loves her fitness & is a bit of a gym junkie – enjoying anything that raises her heart rate!
Creative Account Director
Anthea is Thinktank Social’s Creative Account Director. With half a decade of social media marketing experience she is more than adept at quickly finding social media solutions & effective recommendations towards both social + digital and marketing plans. Working collaboratively with a variety of clients gives her the flexibility to work on many social media platforms. She has a BA (Hons) Graphic Design + Communications, giving the upper hand when the creative juices need to flow. Anthea is a self-confessed Instagram addict & extreme pet lover. One might say they go hand-in-hand…
Senior Account Manager
A true go-getter, Gloria hit the ground running when she joined the Thinktank Social team in early 2016 with her passion for technology, business and marketing. Having graduated from the University of Melbourne with a BA in Media and Communications, combined with her experience in digital and social media marketing, Gloria has gained an in-depth knowledge of the evolving media landscape and the critical role social media plays in it. With a keen interest in video production and post-production as well, Gloria specialises in creating highly engaging and effective content for Facebook & Instagram Advertising. Gloria has completed her 310-101: Facebook Advertising Core Competencies exam and is in the process of getting her Facebook Blueprint Certifications.
Owen loves social media and is a firm believer that Content is King. Starting off in marketing working for a multi-national brand, he then went into graphic design giving him a broad range of skills to tackle any job.
He’s creative and all about helping brands to get what they want, via social and digital media. Originally from Wales Owen loves his sport – rugby and football especially, with his favourite pastime being drinking a nice cup of tea.
Lead Web Technology Facilitator
Tim started his career as a Graphic Designer but had an early opportunity to move into the online space as a flash and web designer/developer. He has not looked back ever since… Predominantly with background working with award winning advertising and media agencies, both locally AND overseas, as well as having held various positions over his 15 year career, Tim’s depth of knowledge about online experiences, cloud technology and the evolution of user interaction gives him the perfect (and somewhat enviable) foundation on which to create the next great user experience.
Head Workshop Trainer
Jordana is a social media strategist, creative content consultant, author, speaker and humourist. Jordana’s experience includes being a News Corp Australia journalist, working as online music editor, content producer and social media manager at Nova Entertainment, writing a business-marketing book called Capture My Attention: How to Stand Out Online with Creative Content, performing two sold-out shows in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, speaking at corporate conferences around the world and running a schools program that explores online safety for students. When Jordana’s not busy helping clients enhance their social media, content marketing and creativity skills, you’ll either find her taking selfies with miniature dogs or dressed as a giant Facebook Like button on the streets of New York.
Social Media Manager
Mia is a new member of the Thinktank Social team. Spending over 15 years at Channel Seven Melbourne in the marketing department, Mia has extensive experience in marketing, sponsorships and promotions, and is now excited to be tackling the world of social media. Working at a Macedon Ranges boutique winery as the Marketing and Events Manager for the past 5 years, Mia is a self confessed wine enthusiast (aka pass the bottle so we can Netflix and chill). A mum to two very active boys, Mia is into her health and fitness, watching the footy and chilling out with family and friends.
Web Technology Facilitator / Software Developer
“The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.” [Derek’s developer humour!] Derek’s exposure to technology came early, having access to computers from a very young age. As technology evolved, Derek grew with it – literally, he grew taller… With over 14 years of professional experience Derek has an intimate knowledge of computers, and has mastered numerous programming languages and technologies. Derek is passionate about the web and technology, staying on top of new trends, and thriving on any new challenge that is put before him.
